Horse Stable Visit – Meet the Icelandic Horse & Taste Icelandic Hospitality

#perfectforgroups

Join us for an authentic guided visit to our horse stable, where you will get a closer look at the unique Icelandic horse and the important role it has played in the culture and history of East Iceland.

During this interactive experience, we introduce you to the special characteristics of the Icelandic horse, including its five gaits, friendly temperament, and centuries-old breeding traditions. Through fun and engaging activities, you will learn interesting facts while creating a real connection with the horses.

You will also hear local stories about life in East Iceland, our farm, and the traditions that have shaped the region for generations.

During the visit there will be plenty of opportunities to:

  • Take photos with the horses

  • Pet and interact with them

  • Get to know their different personalities

  • Ask questions and learn directly from experienced local guides

After the stable visit, we invite you to relax and enjoy a small taste of Icelandic hospitality. Warm up with coffee, tea, or hot chocolate while sampling traditional Icelandic pastries such as kleina (a traditional twisted pastry), hjónabandssæla (a classic oat and jam cake), and other Icelandic sweets.

This relaxing moment gives you time to unwind, ask further questions, and enjoy the peaceful farm atmosphere.

This program is perfect for families, animal lovers, and anyone who would like to experience Icelandic horses up close in a relaxed and friendly environment.
